It also functions as a straight line rip jig to cut a clean straight rip on a rough edge. Something that a store-bought tapering jig cannot do.\u003cbr\u003eIt is a very easy project to make. And one that you can probably build in about an hour. This could save you money on a store bought jig.\u003cbr\u003eIt is also designed to be made very inexpensively. If you choose to make the hardwood hold down clamps, and a hardwood strip for the miter bar, you can make this jig for less than ten dollars.
