Inspired by the renowned 1901 Basket of Flowers egg commissioned by Tsar Nicholas II for Empress Alexandra Feodorovna, this ornate floral basket design reflects one of the most distinctive imperial Easter creations. Unlike traditional egg forms, the original was crafted as a truncated egg shaped basket adorned with a trellis pattern and overflowing with enameled wildflowers such as pansies, daisies, and cornflowers.

Notably, the 1901 egg was unusual for lacking a hidden internal surprise, instead focusing on extraordinary surface detail and diamond set decoration. After remaining in the Winter Palace, it was sold by the Soviet government in the 1930s, later acquired by Queen Mary, and is now part of the British Royal Collection. Its authenticity was debated for decades before being confirmed in 1991.

This beautifully detailed interpretation captures that spirit of refinement with raised lattice styling, sparkling crystal accents, and a vibrant floral centerpiece. The hinged design opens and closes securely with a magnetic clasp. Presented in a padded satin lined gift box, it offers royal inspired elegance and impressive display presence for collectors and admirers alike.
