Stitch Snowy Man, a counted cross stitch kit by Bothy Threads — a snowman in a tall green top hat and a rainbow-striped scarf smiles out beneath falling snowflakes.

A little stitcher's folklore: the tallest snowwoman on record, Olympia, was built in Maine in 2008 and stood over 37 metres tall.

Why this kit: based on original artwork by Karen Tye Bentley, it is a quick festive stitch that is mounted straight into the brown triple-fold card, ready to post. Lana woolly thread, beads and sequins add texture and sparkle.

Kit includes: 14-count misty blue Zweigart Aida, pre-sorted stranded cottons, metallic gold thread, Lana woolly thread, beads, sequins, a brown triple-fold card mount and envelope, needles and a clear stitch diagram and instructions. Stitches used: full cross stitch and back stitch. The card mount frames the finished stitching, so no extra frame is needed.

Stitch the snowman in cross stitch from the centre, then add the back stitch, woolly scarf, beads and sequins, and mount the finished piece in the card.

Finished size: 10×10 cm (3.9×3.9 in). A fun card for children and grown-ups alike.
