Our L-Trim corner pieces and Z-Trim wall trim are used to finish corrugated metal installations — great for wainscoting, custom wall panels, and any application where you need a clean transition from corrugated metal to wall, ceiling, or another surface. Use the trim finish that matches the patina of your Colorado Steel wainscoting or tiles.
Both L-Trim and Z-Trim ship as 92" long strips. L-Trim covers 2" on each side of a corner; Z-Trim has up to 3 3/8" of length per leg.
L-Trim: Hemmed inside-corner edges or hemmed outside-corner edges. Make sure to select the right corner type for your install.
Z-Trim: Used for transitions where two flat surfaces meet at different planes — for example, where wainscoting meets drywall above.

Want to add linseed sealant to your trim? Linseed sealant is a boiled linseed oil and mineral spirits solution we apply in-house before shipping. It creates a thin shellac-like coat that slows further rusting, helps prevent rust rub-off, and adds a touch of shine.
- Linseed sealant is available for: Rusted, Antique Galvanized, and Colorado Premium L-Trim and Z-Trim.
- Linseed sealant is not offered for: Galvalume, Crinkle Black, White, or Corten A606 trim — these finishes either have factory coatings, painted finishes, or are designed to weather naturally, so linseed isn't compatible or needed.
Trim Patina Options
-
Rusted: Pre-rusted using an all-natural, accelerated rust treatment. Even copper rust color with small variations of blues and greys.
- We start the rusting process, but if you'd still like more rust, learn how to increase the amount of rust here.
- We recommend sealing with a clear coat, as the rust finish can rub off. Here is how to clear coat Rusted products.
- Galvalume: New galvanized steel, light silver, semi-sheen. NO RUST or color variation.
-
Antique Galvanized: Antiqued steel, dark grey, weathered, flat texture. NO RUST or color variation.
- Finish wears with time (can produce white rust with exposure to moisture), will continue to age with exposure, and may scratch.
- We recommend sealing this style with a clear coat for high-wear areas or where oils can get splattered, since it has a more porous surface.
- Colorado Premium: Galvanized steel artificially aged in-house to replicate the look of our reclaimed Premium Barn Tin — without nail holes or warping. Higher-end aged character with consistency across the run.
- Crinkle Black: Matte black steel with a subtle crinkle texture that knocks down the sheen. Uniform black finish with no color variation. Note: this material is currently single-sided coated — the back face is white.
- White: Smooth painted-white finish on one side of the metal.
- Corten A606 Weathering Steel: Architectural-grade weathering steel that develops a stable, self-protecting rust patina naturally over time. Distinct from our Rusted finish — A606 ships before the patina has developed and weathers in place. Best for exterior, high-moisture, and commercial applications. Higher price point.
