Equipped with a 3 HP, three-phase motor, this pump delivers a flow rate of up to 45 GPM and a maximum pressure of 232 PSI. Constructed from durable 304 stainless steel, the NV45B4FE3T resists corrosion and ensures a long service life even in challenging environments. It also features maintenance-free cartridge mechanical seals and ANSI standard flanged connections for easy installation and maintenance.

Certified to meet NSF/ANSI 61 and 372 standards, the NV45B4FE3T is perfect for reverse osmosis, water boosting, filtration systems, hot and cold water circulation, and sprinkler systems.

Installation Instructions for NV45B4FE3T Vertical Pump

  1. Preparation:
    • Inspect the pump and motor for any visible damage during shipping. Report any damage to the carrier or dealer.
    • Ensure the installation site is level, stable, and provides adequate space and ventilation for service and cooling.
    • Verify that the pump model matches the system specifications and is suitable for the intended application.
  2. Mounting the Pump:
    • Secure the pump base to a flat, solid surface to prevent vibration during operation.
    • Align and support suction and discharge piping to avoid excessive strain on the pump.
    • Install isolation valves on both the suction and discharge sides for easier maintenance.
  3. Piping Connections:
    • Ensure piping matches the pump’s flanged connections (2" ANSI 150#).
    • Install appropriate gaskets to prevent leaks, ensuring they do not restrict flow.
    • Remove any protective covers or caps from the flanges before installation.
    • For hot water systems, include a bleed valve in the discharge line to relieve pressure during maintenance.
  4. Electrical Connection:
    • Have a certified electrician verify that the power supply matches the motor’s specifications (3 HP, three-phase).
    • Ensure proper motor wiring and check for counterclockwise rotation when viewed from the motor’s rear.
    • If rotation is incorrect on a three-phase motor, reverse any two leads to correct it.
  5. Priming the Pump:
    • Remove the fill plug and use a funnel to fill the pump casing with water.
    • Open the vent plug to allow air to escape as the pump fills with water.
    • Re-seal the vent plug and fill plug once a steady stream of water flows from the vent.
  6. Testing the Pump:
    • Open the suction valve fully and partially open the discharge valve.
    • Apply power to the motor and check for smooth operation without unusual noise or vibration.
    • Gradually open the discharge valve to reach desired operating conditions.
  7. Safety Precautions:
    • Never operate the pump without water to prevent damage to internal components.
    • Always replace coupling guards after installation to prevent injuries.
    • Ensure the pump is properly grounded and all connections are secure before starting.
